Collective responsibilities:
François Képès has organised or chaired numerous international and national scientific events, including over 40 events in Synthetic Biology since 2005. He has been involved in 28 granted projects, including 8 European ones.
Dr. Képès is the editor of international journals. He is an expert advisor for European funding agencies. He sits on the Scientific Advisory Board of the PEPR MoleculArXiv project. He sat on the Scientific Board of the OpenPlant Norwich/Cambridge Synthetic Biology Research Centre (SBRC) in the UK. He sat on the Steering (resp. Scientific) Committees of the Paris (resp. Rhône-Alpes) Institute of Complex Systems, and on the Scientific Committee which attributed the SBRC grants in the UK. He is or was a referent for DNA data storage and Synthetic Biology at the OECD, European Commission, French Ministry of Research, CNRS, Embassy in USA and UK, French Parliamentary Office of Scientific and Technological Choices (OPECST), various start-up incubators and funds, National Academy of Technologies of France and French Academy of Agriculture.
